Moving Analytics provides Movn - a digital cardiac rehabilitation service to help patients recover after a heart attack or heart surgery. The goal of the program is to help patients reduce their risk of getting a future cardiac event by empowering them to manage their risk factors including exercise, nutrition, smoking, blood pressure, weight, medication and stress. Our mission is to empower individuals to lead healthy lives free of cardiovascular disease. We are clinicians, designers, engineers and entrepreneurs leveraging design, research and technology to improve patient engagement and care coordination.


Moving Analytics is seeking an experienced Director of Finance and Business Operations to drive our organization's financial operations and improve financial performance. In your role, you will integrate finance and operations, work with senior management to create multi-year financial forecasts, create and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, ensure revenue and expense contract execution, supervise preparation of closing statements and plan for liquidity to support growth.

  • Position will be located in our Los Angeles, CA office
  • Your attendance will also be required for meetings which are held during business hours, typically in Pacific Time.


  • Prepare forecasts and comprehensive budgets
  • Plan liquidity to support business growth
  • Supervise monthly/quarterly and annual financial close with budget comparison
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Create and implement financial and non-financial KPIs and metrics framework
  • Ensure tax filing and 409A compliance working with 3rd parties
  • Work with external auditors to support annual financial audit
  • Manage external bookkeeper and Controller
  • Plan accounting functions and operations to support growth with internal and external resources
  • Manage Carta equity platform


  • Proven experience as director of finance or similar role
  • Experience with high growth technology and service businesses
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting principles and best practices around revenue recognition, ASC 606, etc
  • Experience implementing forecasting and financial analysis
  • Quickbooks proficient; excel skilled
  • Experience supporting annual financial audit
  • An analytical mind with an operational focus
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • CPA or other relevant qualification is a plus
